New car park surface completed – many hands make light work!

At the Working Group on Saturday 12th April and army of plotters tackled a delivery of gravel, spreading it out to re-surface the car park.
In brilliant sunshine, with clear blue skies, 14 plotters wielded shovels, wheelbarrows and rakes to spread out the gravel, filling in holes and giving a new protective cover to the membrane laid when the allotment was first set up. Ten sacks of gravel were delivered by a lorry with a crane and it took plotters just over an hour to spread it out across the car park. Many hands make light work!
To reward the plotters, everyone tucked into freshly cooked bacon or vegetarian butties with coffee.
