Welcome to February!
Tasks for February include
– Harvesting cabbages, cauliflowers, sprouts and kale along with leeks, celeriac, parsnips and swedes
– Sow seeds inside to raise seedlings for planting out in spring
– Plant shallots and garlic
– Chiot seed potatoes
– Dig over your beds and add well rotted organic matter
– Cover beds with cardboard etc to warm the soil
– Force rhubarb as it emerges
Don’t forget a barrowload of manure is £1 – please make payment for the amount you take.
Help yourself to woodchips!
We will be planning our working party dates soon so I will update you separately with these when we have them
