SPAA welcomes over 100 visitors to National Garden Scheme open gardens
On Sunday 2 June 2024, Plotters at SPAA were delighted to welcome over 100 visitors to the Swallowfield Open Gardens which was part of the National Garden Scheme.
With the allotment site looking neat and lots of plants growing across the site, visitors from across the region – from south Hampshire to Swallowfield – admired the wide variety of plants being grown, chatted with plotters about what they were growing and bought plants from the plant stall. The sun shone and the site was dry after all the rain of the previous weeks.
“Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to prepare the site for the Open Afternoon” said Jane, Chair of SPAA. “Much effort had been put into growing plants for the plant sale and making the site tidy. We were very pleased to have so many visitors.”
