At the Working Group on Saturday 12th April and army of plotters tackled a delivery of gravel, spreading it out to re-surface the car park. In brilliant sunshine, with clear blue skies, 14 plotters wielded shovels, wheelbarrows and rakes to spread out the gravel, filling 

SPAA to join NGS Open Gardens again in 2025

The allotments at SPAA will be open again for the NGS Open Gardens after the success of opening for the first time in 2024. As part of the Swallowfield Village Gardens group opening on Sunday 29th June 2025, the allotments will be open between 2pm

Plotters welcomed visitors to a Harvest Festival Open Morning on Saturday 21st September and despite a very wet 24 hours leading up to the event, it mostly stayed dry. On sale were delicious home made cakes, jam and chutney, plants, produce and beautiful cut flowers.

The Swallowfield Allotments will be open to the public on Sunday 2nd June 2024 from 2pm to 5.30pm as part of the Swallowfield Group of open gardens. For 2024 there are nine gardens that are opening to the public in Swallowfield. Admission is £8 which

The seemingly impossible task of moving a mountain was achieved by a small hardy group of plotters on Tuesday 13th February 2024! During 2023, ground works to help improve the drainage on the Calico Field, the site of the SPAA allotments, left a large mountain

Two plotters are very pleased to have successfully grown loofahs this year and are now looking forward to putting them to use as dish scrubbers! A challenge has now been laid to other plotters to come up with more loofahs or other exotic plants!
